The halter places control of your dog around his center of gravity rather than his head or neck.
This method moves the training cues from the head and neck to the dog’s body. This utilizes a dog’s instinctive push/pull reflex called the opposition reflex - a dog's natural inclination is to move toward pressure. This reflex is why so many dogs pull while on leash - as you pull, they pull back.

At first I attached the leash to the top ring because I didn't know not to, nor did anyone explain to me how to properly attach the leash. In other words, when attaching the leash to the lower ring provides control and prevents against pulling.
When I was eventually told how to attach the leash I then realized I had two harnesses in one. The lower ring for walking on my left side and in step with my steps at a controlled speed and when I wanted to full control without any pulling, or otherwise.
However, when I am at the park, and an on leash park, I will attach the leash clip to the top ring so my Teacup Yorkie is free to run and play. I have tried too many collars and harnesses but none provided a dual purpose and the Dolan's Harness is the best.
Now I own two harnesses because some times I wait too long to remove the harness and I learned the hard way. My Yorkie was able to get her teeth on the lower webbing nearly chewing through the entire underside. This is when I realized I could mail the harness in for repair so I have to second harness as a backup because I predict one day I will again forget to remove the harness and when I do I will be glad to own two.
Great harness - thank you, Eric

The wonder walker body halter is the best walking leash I've ever had. Does not pull on the neck area like most leashes do. Only in the chest area as designed. Would highly recommend to anyone. A+++++...from CANADA

Almost immediately stopped our 90# labradane from constantly pulling while trying to walk. It was getting very frustrating. I was looking for a harness that was easy to put on. The fact that this halter only has the one strap that goes under the dog is the key. The front clip connection works as described. The dog quickly learned that he was pulling against himself. Great product. Thank you.
