My dog has thin fur on her chest so the Wonder Walker alone chafed under my dog's arm pits so I bought this padding. These pads are working well. I just wish I knew about these from the start so I could have purchased them with the harness. If our dog trainer hadn't told us about the pads, I likely would have stopped using the Wonder Walker.

I bought the Wonder Walker for my very large 7-month-old Lab who was starting to yank me around like a rag doll, but gave up too quickly on it when a trainer talked me into using a pinch collar. Used that for about two months until I realized that it could not be used for the CGC test, and I was glad to give it up. While my dog has now earned the CGCA and is an AKC certified Therapy Dog volunteering at senior centers and libraries, she still sometimes pulls on her lead. Decided to try the Wonder Walker again, and wish I had never given up on it. Works terrific and has even changed her behavior when healing with a regular collar, which I use for Rally. However, I noticed that the under-strap had been rubbing her chest after the first two days of going back to using it--got the girth strap padding, and couldn't be more pleased with both the fit and how well it protects her. I highly recommend both the Wonder Walker and the girth strap padding, if needed.

My dogs are big...85+, and have totally different body types even though they are siblings. I originally ordered extra-large harnesses, but they were too big. When I returned them for the exchange, I ordered the pads to keep the their underarms from being chafed. Even though the large harnesses fit better, I think the pads should have been extra-large because they barely reach below their arm pits. All of this sizing is hard to figure out. I love the product, but would really like them to fit better!
